Review Policy

How HealthNaro collects, checks and publishes first-party patient reviews and star ratings, what we do not accept, how providers may reply, and how to report or dispute a review.

What we show

Provider profiles can show patient reviews written on HealthNaro itself. We do not copy, import or summarise reviews or ratings from other platforms, and we do not show third-party star ratings or review counts. Where we hold a link to a provider's public profile on another platform, such as Google Maps, we may show a plain outbound link. The link is not an endorsement.

Each published review shows its star rating (1 to 5), a title, the review text, the month and year of the visit, the reviewer's first name and the initial of their last name, a "Verified email" note, and the provider's reply if there is one. Reviewers' email addresses are never shown.

Who can write a review

Anyone who has visited a provider can write a review without creating an account. The reviewer must confirm that:

  • the review is about a genuine visit, made within the last 24 months;
  • they have no connection to the provider (not staff, an owner, a relative of either, or a competitor);
  • they were not paid or rewarded for the review; and
  • the review contains no personal medical details of other people.

We ask reviewers not to include health details about themselves either, such as diagnoses, test results or medicines. A provider's own account, or an email address belonging to the listing, cannot be used to review that listing.

How a review is checked

  1. The reviewer sends the review and we email a signed link to the address they gave. The review does not enter moderation until that link is opened. This confirms access to the address; it does not prove that the visit took place.
  2. Each confirmed review is read by a member of our team before it is published. The reviewer is emailed the decision, with the reason if it is not published.
  3. There is one review per email address for each provider. A reviewer may send a corrected version while the first is still waiting, which replaces it. Once a review is published, a further review from the same address for the same provider is not accepted.

We reject a review only for one of these reasons: it contains personal data; it is abusive or unlawful; it does not appear to describe a genuine visit; the reviewer has a connection to the provider; it is off topic; or another stated reason. A negative opinion or a low rating is never, on its own, a reason to reject a review.

We never edit a reviewer's wording. The only change we make is to replace personal data, such as a phone number or the name of another person, with "[removed by HealthNaro]", and we publish the rest.

Providers cannot pay for, choose, remove or change reviews. Ratings play no part in the order of search results, in featured selections or in a provider's verification level.

Averages and counts

The average rating and the number of reviews are shown only when a provider has three or more published reviews. Below that, individual reviews may be shown without an average. Reviews are listed newest first, ten to a page.

Provider replies

The verified owner of a listing may post one public reply to each review from their dashboard. Replies are approved by our team before they appear, on the same basis as reviews: no personal or patient health details, and no abuse. A provider cannot remove or edit a review. A provider who believes a review breaks this policy may report it.

Search engines and structured data

When a provider has three or more published first-party reviews, its profile includes review structured data (AggregateRating and up to five Review items) that describes exactly the reviews shown on the page. We never add review or rating markup for any other reason, and never for reviews from other platforms.

Featured listings

Featured listings are chosen by HealthNaro on completeness of the listing and verification level, and are reviewed regularly. Featuring is not an endorsement, and ratings and reviews have no part in the selection.

Reporting and disputes

Every published review has a "Report this review" link that opens our report form with the review identified. You can also email info@healthnaro.com with the profile link and the reason. We check the review against this policy and remove it, or redact personal data from it, where it breaks the policy. We cannot change a review on another platform. Response times are in the Corrections and Complaints Policy. To ask about personal data in a review, use the privacy request form.
