Who may be listed
HealthNaro lists healthcare facilities (clinics, hospitals, dental practices, laboratories, pharmacies and similar) and individual practitioners who provide healthcare to the public in the countries we cover. A listing describes a real place or person at a real address with at least one working contact channel. We do not list businesses that are not healthcare providers, products, or services offered only online from outside the country concerned.
Where a profession is regulated, the provider must hold the registration or licence the law requires. Listing does not mean we have confirmed this unless the profile carries the Credentials verified label (see the Verification Policy).
How listings are created
- Imported from public sources (for example business directories); we record only factual details and do not republish their descriptions or reviews. These start at the Public listing level and say so.
- Submitted by a provider through Register a clinic or Register as a practitioner.
- Created by HealthNaro staff from public information.
A standard listing is free and stays free.
Approval before publishing
No listing, claim or edit to key fields is published until HealthNaro staff have reviewed it. Submissions are checked for completeness, duplicates, plausibility of contact details, and compliance with our language rules. Only approved listings with the status "published" are visible to the public. Demonstration listings used to show how the site works carry a visible banner and are excluded from search engines and from any count of providers.
Claiming a listing
A provider, or a person authorised by the provider, can claim a listing. You create an account, tell us your role at the practice and confirm the listing's phone number and email address. We verify claims before granting access; a successful claim sets the Contact verified label and lets you edit the listing from your dashboard. Claiming a listing you are not authorised to manage is prohibited and will be reversed.
Accuracy duties of providers
A provider who claims or submits a listing agrees to:
- give accurate, current information and update it within a reasonable time when it changes;
- hold the registrations and qualifications stated on the profile and tell us if they lapse;
- describe services factually: no superlatives such as "best" or "leading", no promises of outcomes, no "painless", "guaranteed" or "cure", no prices or insurance acceptance that are not real, no patient testimonials or images without consent;
- supply only text and images they have the right to use;
- respond to patient inquiries sent through HealthNaro, or tell us to switch them off.
Edits to a listing's description reset any translation note to "Provided by the provider".
Languages
English is the standard language of the site and every listing has an English version. Descriptions imported from public sources are not republished. Until the owner supplies and we approve their own description, a profile shows a short summary generated by HealthNaro from listed facts such as type, location, services and hours. Provider-supplied descriptions in another language are labelled as translations and the original is available. Provider names are not translated.
Corrections and removal
- Anyone can report incorrect information. We check it and correct the listing; see the Corrections and Complaints Policy.
- A provider may ask us to remove its listing by email from the address on file or from the dashboard. Because listings describe businesses serving the public and are compiled from public information, we normally keep a listing of a practising provider online with correct details, but we remove it where the provider has closed, no longer serves the public, or where the law gives the provider or an individual the right to removal.
- We remove or suspend any listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, duplicated, not a healthcare provider, or in breach of the Terms of Service or this policy, and we tell a claimed provider why.
- A practitioner listed as an individual may ask for their profile to be converted to a practitioner profile when they claim it.
Account closure
A provider may close their account at any time. The listing may remain online as a Public listing with the business details only; personal account data is deleted or anonymised according to the Data Retention and Deletion Policy.
